Yesterday, Google announced it is killing off its print ad program with newspapers.
While we hoped that Print Ads would create a new revenue stream for newspapers and produce more relevant advertising for consumers, the product has not created the impact that we or our partners wanted
Seems not even Google can sell a newspaper ad these days.
Newspaper ad revenue has been in a death spiral for years, but the numbers — and everything I am seeing and hearing from brokers — indicate we are pretty close to impact.
